Overshare test logo

Overshare test logos

These are some original logos for the assignment. The overshare logo. I created this logo as my first design and at first look, it didn't look too bad (Before the Christmas break) but after I came back i thought that i could do better than that. I decided to simplify it down and to try and incorporate both overshare as a company and the share logo into the final logo for overshare. I experimented with different designs and how I could combine the two, I found an image on google of a share icon. Instead of having a solid fill colour, It used hollow O's for the share icon. This would become the basis of the overshare logo itself. Below is the original image i found on google and the next images are how I combined overshare and the share icon together.

Below are the finished designs for the overshare logo. I combined both the share icon and the O to create the overshare logo. I used the text tool for the O in the myriad pro font and made it bold, I then enlarged the text, After I used the straight line tool to create a straight line, Then i used the eclipse tool to create the solid circles. I then copied the straight line twice and merged both the circles and the lines together, i also increased the thickness for all of them. After i created a background for the logo using the rectangle tool and added curved corners to the rectangle. I then evenly spaced the share icon I created onto the background and then re-positioned the O onto the logo, evenly spacing and making sure that it was centered. I then merged the O onto the share icon and changed the colour of the background. I experimented with different colours for the background but if i had to choose one colour to use then i would use the orange logo because it represents friendly, cheerful and confident.
