Intex Logo Final Designs

I created a generic logo that would reflect a company logo so I first thought of a name of a company and as I have a webpage and social media pages under Intex (Short for Intex Gaming Studios and Intex Gaming News) I thought I would use that name and create a logo around it. To create the lettering was the hardest part and I mostly experimented with the lettering. I used illustrator as the software where I would design and create my logo. I started with an idea to recreate a metal look within the logo so i chose multiple grays. I then selected a particular 3D design called ''Bevel Soft" as it gave an illusion of metal. I then added a gradient to the lettering by using 2-4 different types of gray and adjusting the strength of a particular gray. I then chose a direction where light would come from to create shadow within the lettering, this would help the logo stand out. As you can see, I chose the top left hand corner as the direction where my light source would illuminate from and changed the direction of the gradient to a -45 degree angle so that the darker grays would show at the bottom right of the lettering and the lighter grays would show at the top left of the lettering. I then though of a way to make the lettering stand out more, so I thought I would add a black outline to the logo which instead of putting the outline on the outside of the lettering, it put the outline on the inside. I thought that this looked pretty amazing so I started to experiment with different colours but what I did instead was add multiple grays, add a gradient and then change the direction of the gradient to 45 degrees instead of -45 degrees. The effect i got was a nice outline that merges into the lettering and creates a 3D effect. This would be my lettering for all future logos. (The lettering can change and adapt depending on the type of game that is produced)

After I had created the logo, I thought of how it would look with different backgrounds and designs. I first wanted to try and create a post-apocalyptic logo that would blend into a post-apocalyptic game, so i thought about the cracks in sand or deserts. I then tried to blend the text into the background but I didn't want to lose the metallic look of the text so instead I added blood to the text and back ground and the finished design was this logo.
I then tried the text on a black background which looked too plain so I added a banner to the to the logo and then made it match the logo by changing the outline and the colours inside of the banner. The finished design was impressive and if I had to choose a finished logo then i would choose this one as it look the best out of all the logos I have designed.
I then tried another variation of the logo by inserting a loading bar bar and the text "Loading in progress". My friend Sam Wirdnam gave me an idea of putting the buffer symbols as the "o's" in the logo and the finished product was this creation.
I would leave the text as Intex as that is the company name but the background would change according to what game the company was making E.G It would change if it was in a racing game by changing the background and adding a variation of a wheel into it.
